For more than 20 years, the Classic 100 has been one of the most anticipated events on the Australian classical music calendar: a chance for music-lovers across the country to celebrate the music that means the most to them.
This year’s theme is the Greatest of All Time: from grand orchestral glory to intimate solo instruments and everything in between, across the full history of classical music right up to the present day.
The top 100 will be announced on an on-air countdown on ABC Classic over the June long weekend, and this 4CD collection of highlights will follow in July.
