BIG SPECIAL announce their new EP O’JOY!, out 5 June 2026 via SO Recordings/Civilians. Comprising vocalist Joe Hicklin and drummer Callum Moloney, BIG SPECIAL describe O’JOY! as a companion piece to their recent work, bringing together material originally set aside from their first two albums - songs that were either left out for tonal reasons or to preserve the balance of those records, all now reworked into a cohesive whole. Featuring recent singles such as “SLUGLIFE” and and “DRAGGED UP A HILL (and thrown down the other side)”, the band frame the project as a way of revisiting and reshaping those “fallen parts” into a unified release that reflects on where they’ve been creatively, while clearing the slate for what comes next.
